Due to the Canada Post Strike this year's membership deadline has been extended until July 31, 2011
If you have already submitted your membership with a late fee you will be reimbursed and this will be sent out with your membership card and receipt in the next month or so, but this may also depend on the Canada Post Strike.
Thank you to those who have already sent in their membership.
**RVT's Please remember to submit your 10 credits to Judith Emery, they were due June 1st/11
Also to those who have registered to write the National Exam and are having problems registering for a seat in Halifax, please be advised that the AAVSB has been made aware of this problem and they are taking steps to help fix this problem.

Continuing Education Update
Registered Veterinary Technicians are required to complete 10 CE Credits per year to maintain their RVT status with the EVTA. Credits are due by June 1st of each year. In order to submit your CE, you must complete the CE Credit Reporting form on the EVTA web-site and attach proof of attendance or certificate of completion to the credit report.
You must submit proofs of attendance in order for your CE to be credited to you. Hang onto your proofs of CE (i.e. conference attendance certificates, certificates of completion of on-line CE etc.) so that they can be submitted to me. If you complete your CE early, feel free to send it in to me right away. Don’t wait for the June 1st deadline.

RACE Credits
Many CE opportunities are reported in terms of RACE Credits. The EVTA accepts RACE credits. One RACE credit is equal to 1 CE credit for the EVTA.
TechLife Journal Quizzes
For those members who wish to submit TechLife Journal quizzes for marking, these should be sent to: Marla MacKay at 529 Otter Brook Road, RR #3, Brookfield, NS BON 1C0.
When submitting your quizzes, please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope so that they can be returned to you. Please also remember that it can take time to get quizzes marked and returned to you so they should be submitted no later than April 15th in order to ensure that you have them in time to submit for CE Credit.
